On the edge of the forest there is a little ditch that separates the trees from the meadow next to it. Yet this old curved free went one step farther than the others.
For this oil painting, I visited the spot on a sunny morning, since I had seen before that the light would hit the tree trunk in a way that would bring out the subtle green and yellow colors that would be hidden during the day. So the focus for this one was the brightness of the morning light, and perhaps not so much the actual shapes.
